Mississippi Rebels (Ole Miss) – (SEC) Southeastern Conference
The University of Mississippi Rebels aka “Ole Miss” football team plays in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They are the 26th most winning team in NCAA history with over 650 wins. The Rebels won 6 SEC titles and 3 national titles (1959, 1960, 1962). They have appeared in 37 bowl games with a post season record of 24-13. The Rebels have produced 20 NFL first round draft choices and are always competitive in the powerful SEC.
The Rebels play home games at Vaught- Hemingway Stadium built in 1915. The stadium seats 64,038 and attending a game must include the pre-game legendary tailgate at “The Grove”. The party is considered to be the ultimate college football tailgate experience. Premier seating is in the Rebel Club, the West Skyboxes, the Upper and Lower South Suites and Sideline Chairbacks and Field Clubs. Tickets to rivalry games vs Mississippi State and LSU are the most coveted. A great tradition is the cowbell which is rung after each victory. Of course, the tailgates are great too!
