Minnesota Twins – American League Central
The Minnesota Twins play Major League Baseball (MLB) in the American League (AL) Central Division. The team is named after the Twin Cities area comprising Minneapolis and St. Paul. Founded in Washington, D.C. in 1901 as one of the eight original teams of the American League in 1960 they moved to Minneapolis as an expansion team. In Minnesota, the Twins have won 10 divisional titles and has won 2 World Series championships in 1987 and 1991.
The team plays at the superb Target Field which was ranked as The Best Sports Stadium in North America by ESPN Magazine in 2011.
