The Florida State Seminoles play in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The team is known for its storied history, distinctive helmet, fight song and colors as well as the many traditions associated with the school. They are one of the most successful college football programs ever winning 3 national championships, 18 conference titles and have had 3 undefeated seasons and ranked in the top 4 AP poll from 1987- 2000 a remarkable 14 straight years. They have appeared in 46 bowl games to date winning 27. The program has produced 218 All-Americans and 250 NFL players. Biggest rivalry games are Florida, Miami and Clemson.
The Seminoles play their home games on Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, FL. “The Doak” as it’s sometimes called is also known as “The House that Bobby Built” for legendary coach Bobby Bowden. It is an intimidating place to play and the Seminoles hardly ever lose there. The video board is the largest in the nation and the fans are amongst the loudest. The tailgating is superb and the tradition of Chief Osceola riding onto the field and burying his spear at midfield pre game is breathtaking. Attending a Seminoles game is a top 10 bucket list unforgettable experience. The best luxury seats are the Dunlap Champion Club but since the whole stadium is one large lower level all seats are great.
