Chicago Cubs – National League Central
The Chicago Cubs play Major League Baseball (MLB) in the National League (NL) Central Division. The Cubs are one of two major league teams in Chicago; the other is the Chicago White Sox. An original team from 1876 they became the Cubs in 1903. The Cubs have appeared in a total of 11 World Series. The 2016 World Series win ended a 71-year National League pennant drought and a 108-year World Series championship drought. The 108-year drought was also the longest such occurrence in all major North American sports.
Home games are played at historical Wrigley Field, located on the city’s North Side. The stadium built in 1914 features a manual scoreboard and ivy-covered outfield walls. They were the last stadium to have lights installed for night games. Premium seating includes the Assurance Club, EMC Legends and Fannie May Bleacher suites. And along with the Club and Field Box Terrace Boxes the Upper deck and the famous Bleachers attending a Cubs game at Wrigley Field can’t be beat. It’s bucket list for baseball fans.
