Washington Nationals – National League East
The Washington Nationals play Major League Baseball (MLB) in the National League (NL) East Division. The Nationals are the fourth major league franchise to be based in Washington, D.C. The team was purchased by MLB in 2002 while in Montreal They began play in Washington in 2005.
They started off slow but won division titles in 2012, 14 and 16. Including their time in Montreal, the Nationals are the only team in the National League to never win a league pennant and played in a World Series.
